Matt & Cody are brothers that bond over film and pop culture.
They both studied film in college. Cody has a background in film production with four directorial credits and Matt works in a grocery store, so that’s what you can expect from us!
Cody
I’m the younger brother. I’ve been obsessed with movies and the way they can manipulate your emotions ever since I watched The Ring. The use of specific camera shots and sound to make a person feel exactly how the filmmaker wants them to feel has stunned me ever since.
That’s not the only obsession that started that night, though. I’m also a huge horror fan! I don’t exclusively love horror, but I’ll always hold it above all genres. That being said, Blade Runner 2049 is my favorite movie right now so do with that what you will!
That obsession led to majoring in Film in college and directing four films. All of which had horror vibes. Throughout it all, I’ve always loved talking to Matt about movies.
Matt
I’m the older brother. My favorite thing about movies is the temporary escape from the outside world that they provide. Past that, I especially love actors and directors. The way they are able to manipulate words and stories into something that can evoke emotions in a person is endlessly cool to me.
Most of my favorites are suspense thrillers, but I’m really all over the board. I enjoy Superhero movies, Kids’ movies, Comedies, Horror, and Musicals. Really any genre that’s just done well. Even if it’s not done well, just give me a good twist ending.
